I think it's better to rent books, because it's so much cheaper. When I first started college, I use to purchase textbooks at full retail price at the book store. In a year it was over $1,000 dollars which was so frustrating. When it came back to selling them at the book store, I didn't recieve half of the money back. Sometimes textbooks that I purchased I rarely needed for class. Once I became aware of the different options such as Amazon.com chegg.com etc... purchasing books became less of a headache. Renting books is always the smarter option. Chegg.com has been my favorite website, it's simple to use and their are always coupons to available. If you don't prefer to rent a text book, then purchasing at amazon.com is also a great choice. At amazon.com books that are at $180 at the book store, cost me $80 at amazon.com. Lucky for students that cheaper college text books are being enforced.
