I think that this is a great example of how hard work and dedication pays off, even if the person is working for Walmart. I also think that with all the negativity that the market giant have attracted to himself over the years, this is one positive aspect for the company. Using Chris Jones as an example to all of the current and prospective employees is a great way to show how this company can change one's life.
It's a great sucess story for someone who started their career, however, I do believe that it's all as stated by Chris that "It's kind of like any job. It's the effort that you put in. You kind of set your own destiny, based upon your efforts, your willingness, wanting to learn. You're the only person standing in your way." If you are lackadaisical about your work ethic then you can't expect to be rewarded in any way.
I like Chris, he is a people person and has incorporated the company slogan into his character and projected image. It shows up in his dedication to perform a specific task and a lot of imagination has taken him a long way in a short period of time. Way to go Chris!!
