It is amazing that Japan is not on the "facebook wagon" like many other countries. From the article I find is interesting that Japan has a few different sites that give them similar functions as facebook gives us- FB is just rolled into one. However, facebook is not as private as you think. The Japanese seem to enjoy their privacy and have many ways to mask their identity on their social networking sites. I actually like this a bit more. My facebook is private, I have blocked certain people from viewing certain things but if you are tagged in a photo and that person who owns the a photo album does not have good privacy measures set in place, you can do nothing about it but untag yourself, but you are still there. It will be interesting to see how Japan responds to Social Network the movie and facebook.
